Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia secured another Kuwait title with a 6-1 6-1 victory over Juan Tello and Maximiliano Arce in the Kuwait Major 2026 Final. The top seeds finished the week without dropping a set, and their win at The Arena Kuwait on 31 October settled the year-end world No. 1 ranking in their favour for a fourth successive season.
It was their 13th tournament title of 2026 and their fifth in a row, extending a run through Paris, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf and Milan. Coello and Tapia had also won Kuwait's P1 in 2024; this time, they left with the Major trophy and another season at the top of the rankings secured.
For Tello and Arce, the closing match was a sharp departure from the contests that had tested them earlier. They had needed three sets against Mario Ortega and Adam Axelsson in the Round of 32, winning 6-4 4-6 6-3. Another deciding set followed against Denis Tomas Perino and Facundo Dominguez in their next match. The Round of 16 ended 6-3 3-6 6-1.
Their results then became more decisive. A 6-4 6-2 Quarter-final win over Marc Sintes Villalonga and Juan Zamora Perez put them into the last four. They followed it by beating Edu Alonso and Aimar Goñi 6-4 6-3 in the Semi-final. Those consecutive straight-set victories brought them to the title match, but there the balance shifted emphatically towards Coello and Tapia.
The champions had built their own route with little room for opponents. After a first-round bye, they beat Flavio Abbate and Franco Dal Bianco 6-3 6-0, then Enrique Goenaga and Guillermo Collado 6-2 6-1. Jairo Bautista and Lucas Bergamini took four games in the second set of their Quarter-final, but Coello and Tapia still progressed 6-1 6-4. A 6-2 6-2 Semi-final victory over Tino Libaak and Gonzalo Alfonso completed their passage to the Final.
Across their five played matches, Coello and Tapia lost 17 games. The Final was the most one-sided of those wins by games conceded, with Tello and Arce limited to one in each set.
The women's title went to Gemma Triay Pons and Delfina Brea Senesi, who recovered from losing the opening set to beat Ariana Sanchez Fallada and Andrea Ustero Prieto 3-6 6-1 6-1. They conceded only two games across the final two sets.
