Daily Padel News — October 22, 2026: Hexagon confirms global calendar and scoring overhaul
By Courtsider · October 22, 2026
Hexagon World Series has announced a four-event calendar for 2027, taking its team competition beyond Madrid. The Spanish capital will stage the opener on January 21–24, followed by North America in March and Scandinavia in June. Abu Dhabi will host the closing event on October 21–24. The North American and Scandinavian host cities remain unannounced. Eight teams are planned, with seven identified so far, including the new Abu Dhabi franchise, Dalma Team. Player line-ups are still to come.
The series will also change how matches are decided: conventional sets will give way to a best-of-five super tie-break contest. The opening four tie-breaks will be played to ten points and a deciding fifth to six. At each event, two groups of four teams will precede a final round that determines finishing positions. Each team will field a men’s pair and a women’s pair, with both matches carrying equal weight. Results from all four stops will count towards the overall team standings.
